Lord & Taylor Robbers Grab Handbags and Assault Employee, Police Say

$6,000 in merchandise was taken, police said.

Two men robbed the Bala Cynwyd Sunday evening, one assaulting a store associate on the way out, said Monday.

About 5:15 p.m., according to police, the men entered the store's southeast doors, closest to Acme. They walked to the Michael Kors handbag display, each man grabbing an armful of bags before running toward an exit.

When a female employee stood in their way, police said, one of the men drove his shoulder into her, knocking her into a store display. It was not known whether she required medical treatment.
