"Feeling correct” in a pose is only feeling familiar, so we will temporarily set aside flow to move deeper into one’s knowledge of their practice. Exploring alignment and body mechanics in this class, we will occasionally release the traditional yoga-asana method favoring only what serves our needs in the exploration of our physical vehicle. Students will become comfortable with assisting one another (having the added benefit of allowing the assistant to directly feel adjustments needed in their own body by guiding others into proper alignment), given structural analysis, and tools for developing personal practice. Expect challenging strength and flexibility conditioning that will allow one’s practice to flourish.
