Narberth Food Bank Staying, Must Repay Owed Rent: Report
The food bank was set to vacate its Sabine Avenue spot May 31, but the Narberth Borough Council reportedly decided not to evict the group.

NARBERTH, PA – After being hit with an eviction notice with a May 31 deadline, the Narberth Community Food Bank has been given a chance to stay at its Sabine Avenue location. The Narberth Borough Council reportedly dropped its plan to evict the food bank after it failed to pay rent for months.
Food bank and borough officials worked out a deal for the food bank, which rents its location from the borough, to repay owed rent.
The food bank did not pay rent for nine months, accruing a $23,000 debt, and will now pay the borough more than $26,000 to stay at the location.
