Narberth Man's Accused Murderer Appears In Delco Court

Derrick Rollins will answer to murder, homicide, aggravated assault, and more charges in connection with the July 29 random slaying.

NARBERTH, PA – The man accused of killing 29-year-old John Le of Narberth in July finally appeared in Delaware County court since the killing.

Derrick Rollins, 24, of Philadelphia, is accused of murdering Le on the afternoon of July 29 in Haverford Township and is also accused of shooting at two men in Philadelphia's Overbrook section about 45 minutes before Le's senseless death.

Rollins appeared in court Wednesday, Sept. 6 for his preliminary arraignment after being extradited from DeKalb County, Georgia, where he was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals on Aug. 22 after fleeing the Philadelphia area.

Rollins faces charges of criminal homicide; first, second, and third degree murder; aggravated assault; prohibited possession of a firearm; robbery; and more in connection with Le's death.

Rollins was held after a judge did not grant bail, court records show.
