Police Blotter: Lip Gloss Thief Also Carried Stolen Steaks, Authorities Say
Philadelphia resident Lori Crouch is being charged with felonies.

On Monday afternoon, Lower Merion Township police reported the following Bala Cynwyd-area incidents from the previous week and described them this way:
A Philadelphia woman successfully lifted $81 in steaks from the Acme on City Line Avenue in Bala Cynwyd but was arrested when she took the steaks next door to Lord & Taylor and tried to steal lip gloss and clothing, too, police said.
Lori Crouch, 39, of Philadelphia had previous convictions and was charged with two counts of retail theft at a third-class felony level.
Thieves targeted two vehicles at the Thomas Wynne Apartments on Wynnewood Road (in Wynnewood, and across the street from Narberth) the afternoon of Monday, April 4. One vehicle had pry marks and damaged rubber molding on the front passenger door. Another vehicle was entered and relieved of a GPS unit; the owner did not know whether the doors has been locked.

Someone stole a $150 Cole Hahn wallet from the desk of an office worker in the GSB building on City Avenue in Bala Cynwyd in the early afternoon of Monday, April 4, then used the bank and credit cards inside at the nearby Target store.
Someone smashed the rear window of a vehicle parked at Houlihan’s in Bala Cynwyd early Wednesday afternoon, April 6. A laptop computer was stolen.
Philadelphia resident Ervin McCoy, 52, was arrested at the state liquor store on City Avenue about 6 p.m. Thursday, April 7, after store employees identified him as the man who stole three bottles of scotch and bourbon worth a combined $95. McCoy was cited for retail theft.

A resident of East Princeton Road in Bala Cynwyd returning home from out of town caught Langhorne resident John Paul Sabara, 31, stealing her copper gutters about 3 p.m. Friday, April 8, police said.
Sabara also had an active warrant for drug violations in Bucks County.
Also, two 16-foot copper downspouts were reported stolen from a home on the 1100 block of Hillcrest Road in Penn Valley about 5:20 p.m. Friday, April 8, and copper downspouts also were reported taken from a home on the 900 block of Stoke Road in Gladwyne sometime April 7.
It was not known whether these cases are linked to the East Princeton Road incident.
