Report: Avril BYOB in Bala Cynwyd Closes

Michael Klein of the Inquirer reported on his Insider blog Wednesday that Avril BYOB in Bala Village has closed after two years.

Klein quotes chef Christian Gatti as saying it was "tough out there" and mentions "a seafood restaurant with a South Philly pedigree" would be replacing the BYOB.

Commissioner George Manos, whose Ward 9 includes Bala Village, could not be reached for comment.

No sign on the restaurant Wednesday afternoon indicated it had closed. A call to Avril's main number did not go through.
