Tai Chi Interactive Performance--Friday, April 11 at 11 AM

New Horizons will host an interactive Tai Chi  performance/demonstration by world-renowned Master Jingshan Tang at 11am on Friday April 11th. Master Tang is the founder of Oriental Fitness Institute, an advisor to the USA Wushu-Kung Fu Federation, a certified teacher of Tai Chi & Qigong and has been featured on the Discovery Channel twice. Master Tang will draw upon his experience to give an unforgettable demonstration, assisted by New Horizons’ own Executive Director & certified Tai Chi instructor, Elissa Berardi.

Tai Chi is a Chinese martial art, an “internal art”, that is practiced in deliberate but flowing movements as slowly as possible with deep relaxing breathing. While the motion appears slow, soft and effortless it nevertheless strengthens the body. The slow movements help align and balance the body’s internal energy paths, enabling chi or qi (internal energy) to flow freely through the body. The process relaxes and invigorates the body while clearing and focusing the mind.  Tai Chi can improve flexibility, balance and overall health while helping to combat stress.  Call 610 664-2366 to sign-up, or stop by 100 Conway Avenue, 2nd Floor, Narberth.
