Six firefighters from are , from June 9-12 to deliver fire equipment and to help rebuild an area ravaged by tornadoes in the spring of 2011.
One of the six fighters—Brian Zimmerman—will blog from Alabama to keep the community abreast of the trip.

Day 3 in Hackleburg, AL, started off bright and early at 6 in the morning. After everybody drank their morning coffee, it was time to work.

We headed down a road to where a new church was being built for Hackleburg. We all worked as a team to install the wrap and windows on the church. We also worked with a bunch of kids from Clifty, KY. They were down there with a group from a Kentucky church to also help with the build.
After an exhausting 12 hours in hot sun and humidity, we headed back to a different church—where we've been staying.
Shortly after we got home and all cleaned up, though, we received a phone call that there was a tornado warning just over the state line in Mississippi, which was about four or five minutes away.
We headed to the Hackleburg Fire Department and met up with its chief and other members of the HFD. Thankfully, no tornado touched down in Hackleburg, but an F3 did touch down in a nearby town.
We ran some calls with the HFD—nothing major, just some trees down, wires down and a minor accident.
After another exhausting, 20-hour day, the Baldwin boys headed back to their church and went right to bed.
