Yin yoga is a practice of
mostly seated or reclined postures held for sustained periods of time
(think minutes, not breaths). The poses we practice will focus on the
connective tissues of the body, such as tendons and ligaments.
We'll refine body awareness, cultivate compassion, and go beyond where
you've gone before. Please join us whether you are looking for a
complement to your regular vigorous practice, or you are seeking out the
softer side of yoga. Yin yoga is intending to harmonize and balance the
body.
This is a non-flowing
class suitable for most levels. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and
consider wearing layers, as this is a cooling practice.
Bring an open mind.
Look beyond the surface in order to learn to relax, be patient, and quiet the mind.
