Fitzpatrick —who chooses a local Hometown Hero each week —said Balogun is a "remarkable young man who has already distinguished himself as a bright young leader, accomplishing so much in his nine years."

"David is embarking upon his collegiate studies at Bucks County Community College and says he wants to use this opportunity to help, inspire, and pave the way for other children in our community and across the nation," Fitzpatrick said.

Fitzpatrick said that Balogun has already completed three college courses and is close to completing two more.

Balogun and his family are exploring continuing his education at Ivy League universities, where he hopes to study astrophysics, chemistry, artificial intelligence, and engineering and earn a doctorate degree by age 13, Fitzpatrick said.

Besides academics, Balogun is working on getting a black belt in martial arts, and enjoys playing sports and the piano, the congressman said.

"I look forward to seeing all he will accomplish in his future and watching him continue to make our community proud," Fitzpatrick said.
