'Armed And Dangerous' Teen Sought After Bensalem Shooting
Police say the shooting happened at a Bensalem apartment complex Thursday evening during a drug deal gone bad.

BENSALEM, PA — Police in Bensalem are seeking a 16-year-old suspect they say is "armed and dangerous" after a shooting Thursday evening at a local apartment complex.
Trejean Smith is accused of aggravated assault, simple assault, carrying a firearm without a license and recklessly endangering another person after the shooting at about 7:45 p.m. at Creekside Apartments at 2500 Knights Rd.
Smith is described as a black male, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing about 150 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Anyone who encounters him is urged not to approach him and to call 911 immediately.

At about 7:45 p.m., Bensalem Police were called to the apartments to a report of gunshots or fireworks being set off in the complex. While investigating, they got word that a man had arrived at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg.
Investigators learned from the victim that he'd been shot during a drug deal in the parking lot of the apartments.

Police identified Smith as the shooter and named Emmanuel Rodriguez, also 16, as a second suspect in the shooting. Both teens live at Creekside Apartments, police said.
Rodriguez was arrested shortly afterward and charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, robbery and recklessly endangering another person. An arrest warrant has been issued for Smith, whom police could not find immediately.
