Bensalem To Fill School Board Vacancy Tuesday
The Bensalem School Board will interview candidates at its meeting Tuesday. Applications are accepted until noon Thursday.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —In less than six months, the Bensalem Township school board will have another new member.
The Bensalem Township School District is seeking candidates to replace Michael Stewart, who moved out of the township, said Susan Phy, the school district's community relations director.
The board expects to fill the school director vacancy at its meeting at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Dorothy D. Call Administrative Center, 3000 Donallen Dr.

The term runs through the first Monday in December.
Anyone interested in applying should submit a statement of interest and qualifications to Susan M. Harder, School Board Secretary, at the Dorothy D. Call Administrative Center no later than noon Thursday.

Candidates will be interviewed by the board at Tuesday's meeting.
In early December,the school board appointed Bensalem High School Hall of Fame Coach Sheldon D. Per to fill the remaining term of the late Heather Snyder, who died in mid-October.
Per was selected over former school board member Stephanie Gonzalez Ferrandez.
Snyder passed away in mid-October. The former township councilwoman had served on the school board since 2019.
