Bucks Co. High Schoolers Wanted For Safe Driving ROADeo

Trevose-based TMA Bucks is seeking teenagers to represent Bucks County in a regional event on May 30.

BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Bucks County High Schoolers, TMA Bucks is looking for you.

The Trevose-based transportation agency's Community Traffic Safety Program is seeking teenagers and high schoolers to represent Bucks County in the Regional Teen Safe Driving ROADeo on May 30 at the West Whiteland Police Department on 101 Commerce Drive, Exton.

The TMA Bucks Community Traffic Safety Program, Chester County Highway Safety Project, Delaware County Transportation Management Association, and Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services are holding their 4th Annual Teen Safe Driving ROADeo in partnership with PennDOT District 6.

The event aims to keep teens safe on the roadway through education, interaction, and fun, TMA Bucks said.

There will be multiple “stations” for teens to rotate through during the event including a blind spot demonstration with a semi-truck, defensive driving academy, drug recognition expert-impaired & drugged driving exercise, fatal vision goggles demonstration, mock traffic stop, PennDOT work zone, teen driving family feud game, and vehicle service station demonstration.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., is free, and open to all students from Bucks County high schools. Click here to get more information and register online.

All students must have a parent or teacher chaperone, guidance counselor, school advisor, another adult over the age of 21, or any group leader accompany them to the event.

There are no exceptions.

“If your child is in high school this is something you want them to participate in,” TMA Bucks Community Traffic Safety Program manager Carly Wible said. “Students will enjoy food and drinks, participate in interactive demonstrations, and also have the chance to win some cool prizes and giveaways, all while learning to be safe drivers.”
