Celtic Christmas, Santa Breakfasts Among Bensalem Weekend Festivities

Bensalem Township has several chances to see Santa Claus these next two weeks with two breakfasts this weekend and a tree lighting Dec. 10.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Santa Claus is spending a lot of time in Bensalem Township this weekend and the next.

If you want to share scrambled eggs with Saint Nick, this would be your weekend.

Bensalem Township is holding two Breakfasts with Santa, one on Saturday and the other on Sunday.

Santa Claus shows up first for brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the Bensalem Senior Citizens Association building at 1850 Byberry Road in Bensalem. Tickets are $5.

Brunch includes an egg and sausage casserole, French Toast sticks, waffles, soup and sandwiches and hot chocolate and apple cider. There will also be games and crafts and caroling in the lobby.

On Sunday, the Bensalem Township Lions Club and Bensalem Township School District will hold its 31st Annual Breakfast with Santa on Sunday, Dec. 4.

Santa will appear at Bensalem Township High School, 4319 Hulmeville Road, with seating from 8 a.m. to noon to celebrate with families in this holiday tradition.

And don't worry if you didn't get tickets in advance. They will be available at the door Sunday.

Santa will be busy Saturday night as well.

Kris Kringle will make an appearance at a Celtic Christmas music and dance experience. The performance takes place from 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Bensalem High School.

The event features the Celtic Christmas Band, Celtic Flame School of Irish Dance, and the Bucks County Dance Center's Fusion Fighters.

There's free parking and vendors besides Santa Claus, who will also appear for the township's Community Tree Lighting on Saturday, Dec. 10.

And if you still don't get a chance to see Santa Claus, there are plenty of opportunities until Christmas.
