District Reaches Agreement To Sell Neil A. Armstrong Middle School For $6.25M

The sale price of the vacant school will be $6.25 million, according to information from the Bensalem School District.

The Bensalem Township School District Board of School Directors has agreed to enter into an agreement of sale for Neil A. Armstrong Middle School. The sale price will be $6.25 million, according to information from the district.

The middle school property consists of the school building as well as 30 acres on Street Road.

The property will be sold to 2201 Street Road, LLC, which has 60 days to inspect, survey and test the property in order to determine the feasibility of its proceeding with the purchase.

From 1953 to 1969, the Armstrong property served as Bensalem High School until the current facility was built in 1969. Then it became Neil A. Armstrong Middle School until June 2005. Armstrong was used for sporting events and community activities for the past decade until the new gymnasium was built and dedicated at Bensalem High School in December 2011, the district said.
