Former Bensalem Superintendent Is Finalist For Pennsbury Position

Dr. William Gretzula has been announced as the finalist for superintendent in Pennsbury.

The Pennsbury Board of School Directors is moving forward in its search for the next superintendent.

Dr. William Gretzula, the former superintendent in Bensalem, has been announced as the finalist for the position. A community forum is planned on April 27 so that residents can meet and hear from Gretzula. The forum will be held at 7 p.m. in Keller Hall at Pennsbury High School West Campus.

The board intends to formally name Gretzula to this position at an upcoming public school board meeting, the district announced.

"Input from the community is greatly appreciated," the district said in a statement.

The event will be moderated by Dr. Mark Hoffman, executive director of the Bucks County Intermediate Unit.

Additionally, Gretzula and retiring Superintendent Dr. Kevin McHugh will tour many of the schools and meet with students, parents and staff at a date to be announced, according to the district.

Gretzula is currently the curriculum coordinator/director of elementary education at Upper Dublin School District.
