3 Gunpoint Carjacking Suspects Caught In Bensalem
Bensalem Police caught three suspects after pulling over a stolen car following a carjacking in Philadelphia on Thursday.
BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Three of the four suspects have been apprehended following a gunpoint carjacking in Philadelphia after the stolen car entered the township, police said.
Bensalem Police captured three suspects who fled on foot after the vehicle pulled into the parking lot of the Franklin Commons Apartments and after a traffic stop at 8:13 p.m. on Thursday.
Police said the fourth suspect who ran from the car was not located.

Police said an automated license plate reader notified them that a white 2020 Toyota Corolla bearing PA Registration KDR7829 was driving on westbound Street Road from Interstate 95.
The car had been taken during a gunpoint carjacking in Philadelphia on Wednesday, police said.

Police picked up the car in the area of Hulmeville Road and Park Avenue. It then fled at a high rate of speed and drove to the rear of the apartment complex where other officers were positioned.
That's when police said the car stopped and all four suspects dressed in black clothing made a run for it.
They didn't get too far though.
Police captured the driver after a short foot chase. He was identified as a 16-year-old from Philadelphia who had a Polymer “Ghost Gun” loaded with an extended magazine in his waistband when he was arrested.
The juvenile was charged with firearms offenses, criminal conspiracy, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, fleeing and eluding police, evading arrest on foot, and driving without a license. He was taken to the Edison Juvenile Facility.
After catching Sincere Bennett, 19, of Philadelphia, police found a black Beretta 9mm handgun in his backpack. Bennett was charged with firearms offenses, criminal conspiracy, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and evading arrest on foot.
He was arraigned by District Justice Falcone and bail was set at $350,000 with 10 percent. Bennett was taken to Bucks County Prison.
Police said that Malik Moore Ward, 23, of Philadelphia, physically resisted arrest.
Ward was charged with criminal conspiracy, receiving stolen property, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, evading arrest on foot, and resisting arrest.
He was arraigned by District Justice Falcone and bail was set at $250,000 with 10 percent and he was remanded to Bucks County Prison.
A silver Taurus 9mm handgun was also found where the suspects fled.
