Helping Paws Day of Service Monday In Lower Bucks Co.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The Women's Animal Center is holding its annual Helping Paws Day of Service on Monday.

On Monday, America's oldest animal shelter's Mini Paws Club is inviting children from the ages of 7 to 12 to spend a morning of service visiting the shelter from 9 a.m. to Noon.

Children will create enrichment toys and treats for the shelter pets waiting to be adopted into loving forever homes.

Participants will learn about animal welfare and sheltering, take a tour of the shelter, and even get to meet an animal ambassador.

“The bonds and connections created between children and animals are so important. Women’s Animal Center’s educational community programs serve as a powerful and positive way for children of all ages to advance the welfare of animals and to strengthen the bonds of understanding, compassion, kindness, and communication between humans and our four-legged friends," said Karen Lash, the center's director of development and communications."
