High School Graduates Class of 2012

Bensalem High School graduated 410 students Thursday evening.

The bleachers on both sides of the football stadium were packed Thursday evening at as thousands came out to watch 410 seniors become alumni.

“My fellow graduates, today is a milestone in our lives,” student speaker Divyesha Patel said. She added that graduation would not be possible without the support and assistance from family and friends.

The class of 2012, nearly 90 percent of whom will be furthering their education, reflected Thursday evening on the four years they have spent with each other and looked forward to what the future holds.

Senior class officer Brittany Nettles told her peers that no matter where life takes them they should never forget where they came from.

“Your roots are here in Bensalem,” Nettles said. Her words met with cheers.

Superintendent David Baugh told the students to “sail away from the safe harbor.” He asked the graduates to go out to “explore and discover.”

Thursday night’s commencement was the 88th in Bensalem High School’s history.
