Illegal Dirt Bike Rider Charged For Striking Bensalem Pedestrian
Brian Barlow faces numerous felony charges in the incident last month which seriously injured a 64-year-old Bensalem resident.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The dirt bike rider who struck and seriously injured a pedestrian last month has been charged after turning himself in Monday, police said.
Brian Barlow of Langhorne turned himself in with his attorney Monday at the Bensalem Township Police Department on felony and misdemeanor charges including accidents involving death or personal injury and accidents involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed.
Barlow was also charged with several summary offenses for operating an illegal dirt bike within Bensalem Township. He was arraigned by District Justice Brian Marriott and released on his own recognizance.

Around 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 5, Bensalem Police responded to the area of 1681 Neshaminy Valley Drive for a report of a struck pedestrian.
A 64-year-old Bensalem resident was struck by an illegal dirt bike who then fled the area with another illegal dirt bike rider.

The victim was transported to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital where he was treated for a fracture of the left clavicle, multiple broken ribs, right orbital fracture, and a fracture to his tibia/fibula which required surgery.
On Aug. 9, Barlow, came to Bensalem Police headquarters with his attorney and provided a statement to police as detectives continued their investigation.
The second dirt bike rider was also cited with several summary traffic offenses for operating an illegal dirt bike within the township.
Bensalem Police have established a "zero tolerance" for the operation of illegal dirt bikes on township roads.
