Keep Ahead of Current Drug Trends at Prevention Seminar

Bensalem Township Drug and Alcohol Advisory Board will hold a seminar on current drug trends on Wednesday.

Since today's youth has easier access to a variety of drugs than past generations, Bensalem Township Drug and Alcohol Advisory Board will hold a seminar on current drug trends on Wednesday.

Prevention Specialist Dave Fialko will present at the "Current Drug Trends: Staying Ahead to Keep Our Youth Safe" seminar, which will be held in the council chambers at the Bensalem Township Municipal Building. From 7 to 8:30 p.m., parents, family members and school professionals will learn more about what kinds of drugs children are exposed to.

"From alcohol to marijuana to synthetics, heroin and prescription drugs, this presentation will cover access issues, addictive properties, physical effects, and how these all effect the development of the adolescent brain," a flyer for the event said.
