Lane Closures On Street Road, Route 1 In Bensalem
PennDOT will perform line painting overnight on Sunday on two main roads in Bensalem Township. Motorists should expect delays.
BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —PennDOT will perform road construction on Route 1 and Street Road overnight on Sunday.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that line painting is scheduled on Sunday night in under a project to reconstruct, widen, and improve Route 1.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

- Sunday, Sept. 17, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, alternating rolling lane closures are planned in both directions on U.S. 1 between Old Lincoln Highway and Rockhill Drive for line painting.
- Sunday, Sept. 17, from 8 p.m. to 6 p.m. the following morning, alternating lane closures are planned in both directions on Street Road (Route 132) between Kingston Way and Old Lincoln Highway for line painting.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas. All scheduled activities are weather-dependent and subject to change.
The work is part of PennDOT’s substantially completed $95 million RC1 project that reconstructed and improved U.S. 1 and Street Road (Route 132) in Bensalem Township.
