Lower Bucks Fire Companies Honor Veterans In Bensalem
Nine fire companies welcomed back Bucks County Tour of Honor veterans at Parx Casino following their trip to Washington, D.C.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —Nine Lower Bucks fire companies were on hand Monday to welcome home veterans from a trip to the nation's capital.
The Bucks County Tour of Honor transports military veterans from the Bucks County area to Washington, D.C., to visit the memorials, buildings, and other places that promote and represent the ideals of the United States, the organization said on its website.
The all-expenses paid trip is followed by a “Welcome Home” celebration, dinner, and entertainment hosted by Parx Casino on Street Road.

"At present, our major focus is WWII veterans and terminally ill veterans, who are given top priority. We are also accepting applications for Korean War veterans at this time," the organization said.
The Bucks County Tour of Honor leaves from Parx East and includes stops at Arlington National Cemetery at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier for the Changing of the Guard and Wreath Laying Ceremony, the Air Force Memorial, Korean War Memorial, and World War II Memorial.

The Trevose Fire Company was among those to welcome back the veterans.
Other participating fire companies and emergency personnel included the Penndel Volunteer Fire Company #1, Station 8, Cornwells Fire Company- Station 16, the Warminster Fire Department, Newport Fire Company, Bensalem EMS, Eddington Fire Company - Station 28, Feasterville Fire Company, and Bensalem Fire Rescue.
