Paving Around Ogden Avenue Postponed Until Spring
In Bensalem, a troubled drainage project will drag on longer because of a PECO gas pipe in the area, officials said on Monday.

BENSALEM, PA — After troubles with the storm drainage project there, the repaving of Ogden Avenue in Bensalem has been postponed until the spring, officials said Monday.
Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo said in a social media post that the drainage project "has encountered several unforeseen obstacles." Workers need to give the site time to settle over the winter and repaving of the roadway will be scheduled for next spring, DiGirolamo said.
"As always, we thank you for your patience as we complete this very worthwhile project," he said.

Residents of the area were sent a letter with similar information last week. In an Oct. 11 letter they also received, project manager Thomas Hanna said the work ran into a conflict because of a PECO gas pipe in the area where the new storm sewer was supposed to go. Contractors are working with PECO to get the pipe moved, he said in the letter.
According to Hanna's letter, work that remains to be completed on the project includes:
