The night work on Route 1 takes place this week in Bensalem and Middletown townships, PennDOT said.
LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Ramp and roadway construction will continue this week on Route 1 under a project to reconstruct, widen and improve a three-mile section of the highway in Bensalem and Middletown townships, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said.
Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

Motorists will be detoured north on Route to the Penndel/Business Route 1 Exit, left at the turnaround to Old Lincoln Highway, then south on Route 1 to Rockhill Drive at the Neshaminy Exit.
- From 8 p.m. Thursday, April 20, to 6 a.m. Friday, April 21, a single-lane pattern is scheduled on U.S. 1 in both directions between Old Lincoln Highway and the Neshaminy Exit for a traffic shift.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
