Region Recovers From Third Storm in a Week, Next Cold Front Coming Sunday Night
The third winter storm in a week dumped between three to five inches of snow on the Philadelphia region Saturday.

The third winter storm in a week dumped between three to five inches of snow on the Philadelphia region Saturday, followed by a mixture of sleet and rain into the overnight hours.
Meteorologists with the National Weather Service warn that while the precipitation will cease Sunday morning and temperatures will rise above freezing, untreated roads and sidewalks may still be icy.
“Use extra caution if you need to travel this morning. If you will be driving, reduce your speed and allow plenty of distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you,” the NWS said in a special weather statement.

On Saturday, PennDOT reduced speed limits on major highways and local police warned drivers to stay off the roadways as the winter weather passed through the region.
The snow began around noon throughout the region.

Parts of Bucks County, including Lower Makefield and Levittown, saw the highest accumulations. According to the NWS, 5.5 Lower Makefield got 5.5 inches of snow and Levittown got 5 inches.
In Montgomery County, Horsham saw nearly three inches, while Montgomeryville got four. Philadelphia got between four and five inches, according to NWS estimates.

Warmer air is moving through the region but expect another blast of frigid air Sunday night. Below-normal temperatures are expected to return Monday, when a low of 4 degrees is predicted.

Sunday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 17.
Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 22.
Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 4.
Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 23.
Tuesday Night: A slight chance of snow showers after 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
