Resurfacing Begins On 2 Bensalem Roads
PennDOT said lane closures are planned on Bristol Pike and Knights Road this week. Find out where and when below.

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA —The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that resurfacing is planned on two township roads this week.
PennDOT said the work is planned under multiple ongoing projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.

- Sunday, Sept. 29, through Saturday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, moving lane closures are scheduled on U.S. 13 (Bristol Pike) between the Frankford Avenue bridge over the Poquessing Creek and 500 feet west of Route 413 (Veterans Highway) in Bensalem and Bristol townships for micro-surfacing operations.
- Sunday, Sept. 29, through Saturday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, moving lane closures are scheduled on Knights Road between Route 132 (Street Road) and the Philadelphia County line in Bensalem Township for micro-surfacing operations.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.

Under these resurfacing and improvement projects, PennDOT’s contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.
