Route 1 Traffic Shift Begins Overnight Wednesday

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —PennDOT is planning a traffic shift at night starting on Wednesday for the Route 1 Traffic Improvements Project in Bensalem Township.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that construction is planned at night this week on Route 1 in Bensalem Township under PennDOT’s $116 million project to reconstruct, widen, and improve a three-mile section of U.S. 1 in Bucks County.

The work is part of PennDOT’s U.S. 1/RC2 contract that will reconstruct and widen U.S. 1 from south of the Rockhill Drive Interchange to north of the Penndel/Business U.S. 1 Interchange.
