School Lane Presents Big Check to Humane Society

School Lane Charter School presented the Women's Humane Society of Bensalem with a big check.

Students at School Lane Charter School presented the Women's Humane Society of Bensalem with a check following their Crazy Crayon sale.

Second grade students raised more than $600 for the society while learning about economics. The students recycled broken crayons and created new ones while learning about producers, consumers and assembly lines during an economics unit.

The class, under Ms. Clark's instruction, then sold nearly 1,000 crayons to raise $611.50 that was then donated to the Women's Humane Society of Bensalem. Students presented the check on Friday, April 19.
