Substitute Teacher Under Investigation For Inappropriate Conduct

The teacher has been terminated by Bensalem School District and police are investigating the allegations.

A Bensalem High School substitute teacher has been removed after a student reported him for inappropriate conduct, Bensalem School District officials announced Friday.

Police are investigating and the details of the allegations were not made public by the district.

According to a statement from the district, the school principal was “immediately” notified of the alleged inappropriate conduct and the teacher’s contract with the district was terminated.

The agency that provided the contracted substitute teacher has been notified as well.

The school district said it would have no further comment during the police investigation.

“We take the safety and security of our students very seriously. The District has and will continue to take all actions necessary to protect the interest of the affected students, and to cooperate with the police investigation,” according to the statement from the school district.
