Bethlehem to Host Beer Week, Rib Cook-Off

The Downtown Bethlehem Association is continuing to add to its calendar of more than 100 events.

The DBA board of directors has approved two new events:

Bethlehem Rib Cook-Off 

• Tentative date: July 21
• Broad Street to be closed from Main to Guetter Street
• Several restaurants are already interested in participating and the event may include a "best ribs in Bethlehem" cooking competition.

Bethlehem Beer Week

• September 10-17
• Event will feature specials and entertainment designed to promote specialty craft beers
• The DBA expects about 10-15 bars and restaurants to participate in the event's first year

More details will be forthcoming as DBA and its members continue developing plans for these events.
