This month: Discover the world below the Jordan Creek. Collect and observe the small aquatic species that call the water home. Come dressed to enter the creek. Closed-toed shoes are required for entry. PFDs will be provided, but you can bring your own if preferred. 
Programs are free thanks to funding from Lehigh County. Space is limited, and online registration is required. Please only register children for each adult-child team.

Join Wildlands Conservancy for an engaging Wildlife Meet and Greet designed for nature lovers of all ages. The program begins with an interactive presentation featuring Wildlands’ fascinating wildlife ambassadors. Participants will learn how these animals, and pollinators like bees, butterflies, and birds, play vital roles in supporting wildflowers and healthy local ecosystems.
After the presentation, enjoy a guided hike through Louise Moore Park, where we’ll explore native wildflowers, observe pollinator habitats, and look for wildlife in their natural environment while discussing conservation efforts and seasonal blooms.

Wildlands Conservancy’s Summer Camp offers summer fun at our Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary in Emmaus, PA. Located in the Lehigh Valley, Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary is generally a convenient 10-15 minutes from Allentown and Macungie, 25 minutes from Bethlehem, as well as 30 minutes from Easton.
Choose among 11 weeks of summer fun, from June 8 through August 21. This 77.5-acre nature preserve is the Lehigh Valley's nature oasis and your classroom, along the Little Lehigh Creek, with special guests including Allentown Symphony, Elmwood Park Zoo, Joshua Tree, PA Fish &amp; Boat Commission and more!

Nature Sketching &amp; Conservation invites participants of all skill levels to slow down, observe, and connect with the park’s unique plants, animals, and landscapes. 
Throughout this program you’ll learn simple sketching techniques and tips for capturing nature’s details in your own style. Sketch paper and pens are provided, so all you need to bring is your curiosity. 
Throughout the session, educators will highlight the park’s ongoing conservation efforts, from habitat restoration and wildlife protection to everyday actions visitors can take to support a healthy ecosystem. Each experience blends creativity with environmental education, helping participants see the park not just as a beautiful place to explore, but as a living system worth protecting. 
Join us for a relaxing and inspiring session that deepens both your artistic skills and your understanding of conservation.

Saturday, July 18, 2026&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;10:00AM - 12:00PM EDTJoin Wildlands Conservancy for a PA Native Plant Discovery Walk, an engaging guided program focused on the plants that make Pennsylvania’s ecosystems unique. Participants will learn to identify key native species found throughout the preserve and discover how these plants support wildlife, pollinators, and overall habitat health.

Educators will also introduce several invasive species commonly found in the region and explain how they impact local biodiversity. You’ll learn about the preserve’s ongoing conservation efforts, including invasive removal projects and native habitat restoration work happening on the property.
This program offers a great opportunity to explore the landscape, sharpen your plant‑ID skills, and learn simple ways you can support native plants at home and in your community.Best for adults and children 12 and older. This program is offered free of charge thanks to funding from Lehigh County.
