Zoellner Arts Center Leads Kennedy Center Art Education Program in Pennsylvania (lehigh.edu) — Bethlehem's Zoellner Arts Center is leading the Kennedy Center's Any Given Child arts education initiative locally, partnering with Bethlehem Area School District and the city. During the 2026-27 school year, more than 260 teachers and 2,700 K-8 students will benefit from professional development, in-school and after-school arts experiences, and thousands of arts engagements at community venues across Bethlehem.

2. Man arrested on drug, weapons charges in Bethlehem (newportdispatch.com) — Bethlehem police arrested a 50-year-old city resident after finding suspected crack cocaine, marijuana, two firearms and seven suspected improvised explosive devices during a search tied to an investigation on 8th Avenue. The man, barred from possessing guns due to a prior felony, now faces multiple felony drug, weapons, and weapons-of-mass-destruction charges, with bail set at $100,000.

3. Farm and Fall Festival Fun in the Delaware Valley (metrokids.com) — Bethlehem's free ArtsQuest Oktoberfest is set for Oct. 2–4 and 9–11, offering German music, food, seasonal brews, artisans, family activities, and the popular dachshund races. It's one of several Delaware Valley fall festivals highlighted, but stands out as an easy, close-to-home way for Bethlehem residents to celebrate autumn without leaving town.

4. Football Concludes Third Week of Preseason Camp as Game One Nears (dartmouthsports.com) — Lehigh University's football team will host Dartmouth at Goodman Stadium in Bethlehem on Saturday, Sept. 19, giving local fans an early-season matchup against a nationally ranked opponent. Dartmouth just wrapped its third week of preseason camp and is sharpening roles and execution ahead of the trip to Bethlehem.
