Record Store Day at Compact Disc Center

Graham Parker, one of the great British singer songwriters to come out of the 1970s era of punk and new wave music, was in Bethlehem on Saturday to help the to celebrate Record Store Day, the third annual celebration of independently owned and operated music stores.

Parker was in the city to perform for a packed house at on Friday night.

The store was jammed with music fans who came out to hear the London-born legend play a set of about a half-dozen songs including “Don’t Let it Break You Down,” “Watch the Moon Come Down,” and “Heat Treatment.” Parker signed autographs and took pictures with fans afterward.

Midnight Shift, Jack Murray and Mary Fahl, who had a scheduled appearance at Godfrey’s later Saturday also appeared and performed.
