13-Year-Old Girl Stabs Another with Scissors

The incident took place at Presbyterian Children's Village on South Roberts Road Monday evening.

A 13-year-old girl stabbed another in the leg at on South Roberts Road in Rosemont Monday evening, police said.

According to Radnor police, after the two girls had been in an argument one stabbed the other in the leg with a pair of scissors. Police were called to the campus of the home for “troubled teens,” as the Village describes itself, at 7:20 p.m. Monday.

The victim was taken to Bryn Mawr Hospital’s Emergency Room, where she was treated and released.

The girl who assaulted her was arrested and charged with simple assault, aggravated assault, harassment, recklessly endangering another person and possession of instruments of a crime, according to police.

She was remanded to the Delaware County Juvenile Detention Center.
