Armed Robbery, Multiple Burglaries: Lower Merion Police Reports

  • A residential burglary on the 1200 block of Yarmouth Road Wynnewood occurred sometime since Nov. 22. Entry was gained through an unlocked window. Ransacking occurred throughout the residence. Jewelry and silverware were taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred at 11:20 a.m. Nov. 26 on the 100 Block of Bryn Mawr Avenue in Bala Cynwyd. Entry was gained by forcing open a rear door. There is no apparent loss at this time.
  • A residential burglary occurred during the daytime hours of Nov. 26 on the 1400 Block of Remington Road in Penn Wynne. Entry was gained by forcing open the basement door. Jewelry was taken from a bedroom.
  • A residential burglary occurred around 9:15 p.m. Nov. 26 on the 400 Block of Cotswold Lane in Wynnewood. Entry was gained by forcing open a basement window. There is no apparent loss at this time.
  • An attempted burglary occurred sometime between 7:30 p.m. Nov. 28 and 9 a.m. Nov. 29 on the 200 block of North Essex Avenue in Narberth. Entry was attempted through a first floor window.
  • An armed robbery occurred at 4:10 a.m. Dec. 1 at the 7-Eleven at 169 W. City Ave. in Bala Cynwyd. A black male in his 50s wearing a black hat, brown jacket, and blue jeans entered the store, displayed a handgun, and demanded cash and cigarettes. He then left the area in an unknown direction on a silver mountain bicycle. The investigation is continuing.
