Ex-Shipley Teacher Violates Parole by Living with Former Student

The man admitted having an affair with the student in 2012, and got probation.

A former Shipley School squash coach, who in 2012 admitted having an affair with a student, is going to prison for violating his probation.

James Civello in 2012 pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of corruption of minors and agreed to have no contact with the victim in exchange for no prison time, CBS reported. He was sentenced to five years’ probation.

But Civello has in fact been living with the victim, now 20, in Philadelphia, authorities told CBS. He tried to conceal that fact by giving authorities a false address, CBS said.
