Lower Merion Police Conducting Impaired Driving Checkpoints This Weekend
The checkpoints are part of a larger national effort.

Lower Merion Township Police will be conducting impaired driving checkpoints and roving township patrols Friday, Oct. 17, through Sunday, Oct. 19.
The checkpoints and patrols are part of a larger national effort “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.”
Township police officers will be stopping vehicles “at a selected location to determine whether motorists are operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances,” the township said. It did not specify where the checkpoints will be.
