Lower Merion Police Plan Impaired Driving Checkpoints
The checkpoints are part of a larger national effort.

Lower Merion Township Police announced Wednesday that they will be conducting impaired driving checkpoints and roving township patrols Friday, Sept. 12, through Sunday, Sept. 14.
The checkpoints and patrols are part of a larger national effort called “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.”
Township police officers will be stopping vehicles “at a selected location to determine whether motorists are operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances,” the township said. It did not say where the checkpoints will be.
