Main Line Giant Approved To Sell Beer

WYNNEWOOD, PA -- Wynnewood’s Giant Food Store in the Wynnewood Shopping Center has been approved to sell beer by the Lower Merion Board of Commissioners.

The supermarket will create a beer garden and eatery, similar to what was recently installed in the St. David’s Giant, according to Main Line Media News.

For eat-in customers, Giant is permitted to sell a maximum of two 12-ounce bottles or cans of beer served with a meal, the agreement reportedly states.

Beer will also be offered in single bottles, coolers, six-packs, and twelve packs for take-out, the report states.

The selection will include craft beers and microbrews, according to the report.

Wine and liquor are not permitted to be sold under the license agreement.

The beer sale hours will be M Monday through Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.
