Police Activity: 29 Car Accidents Damage Property in Lower Merion

Lower Merion Police Department logs its activity online each week.

 police last week responded to 668 calls for service, up from  and  the two previous weeks, according to a weekly report posted on the township's website.

A version of the report, sorted by the type of incident, is attached to this article. In the past week, the police calls (which do not necessarily indicate arrests were made or charges filed) include:

  • 1 attempted suicide
  • 3 burglaries
  • 4 criminal mischief incidents
  • 3 death investigations
  • 1 "dignitary protection"
  • 3 DUI incidents
  • 3 fires
  • 1 firearm accident
  • 1 fraud
  • 5 vehicle accidents with injuries
  • 29 vehicle accidents with property damage
  • 4 public drunkenness incidents
  • 1 simple assault
  • 22 thefts or attempted thefts
  • 1 vehicle theft
