Police Blotter: $100 Tenderloin Stolen from Gladwyne Super Fresh

The following information has been supplied by the Lower Merion Police Department. If arrests or charges are mentioned, they do not indicate guilt or a conviction.

On Monday afternoon,  reported to news media the following incidents from the past week:

Retail theft: A man stole a $100 beef tenderloin from the Gladwyne about 1:20 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 8. An employee on break in front of the store told police a heavyset white man wearing a black hat carried a shopping basket out of the store's enter-only doors and entered a vehicle driven by a curly-haired white man between the ages of 25 and 35, which immediately left the parking lot. There was a short-haired Hispanic woman in the back seat of the car, police said. Part of the vehicle's tag read H8W, police said.

Public intoxication: Andrew Hotchkiss, 19, of Los Angeles was charged with underage drinking and public intoxication after police saw him fall on teh sidewalk on the 800 block of Montgomery Avenue in Bryn Mawr about 2 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, and determined he was intoxicated.

Theft from building: An Apple laptop computer and charger were discovered stolen from an unlocked Erdman Hall dorm room at about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10.

Theft from building: An unopened 19-inch television was stolen from a dorm room in 's Pennswood Hall about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11.
