Police Blotter: Man Charged With Public Intoxication, Damaging Cell

On Monday afternoon, reported to news media the following incidents from the past week in Bryn Mawr and Gladwyne:
- Institutional vandalism, public intoxication: Police arrested Thomas Oehm, 21, of Bryn Mawr for public intoxication near Roberts Road and Lancaster Avenue about 2:15 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 26. In his holding cell at police headquarters, police said, he scratched the window and pulled off the sprinkler head, flooding the cell for several minutes. Oehm was transferred to Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 bail and awaits a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. March 15 in front of Magisterial District Court Judge Kathleen Valentine.
- Burglary: A rear door was forced open at a home on the 1200 block of Waverly Road the afternoon of Wednesday, Feb. 22, police said. Watches, an iPod and a $2,800 laptop were stolen.
- Public intoxication: Andres Medina, 21, of San Juan, Puerto Rico was arrested about 2 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, in front of .
- Public intoxication, underaged drinking: Michael Herrmann, 19, of Cleveland, OH, was arrested about 5 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, on the 800 block of Montgomery Avenue in Bryn Mawr.
