Radnor Police Officer Dies in Apparent Suicide

The off-duty officer shot himself Tuesday in the police department's parking lot.

A Radnor Township Police officer died Tuesday night in an apparent suicide, Police Superintendent William A. Colarulo said.

The officer, whose name is not being released, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the police department parking lot, Colarulo said. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. Sept. 9.

“Police services have not been interrupted due to this tragic incident,” Colarulo said, adding that Haverford Township and other nearby police departments are assisting with law-enforcement coverage in Radnor.
