UPDATE: Students Evacuated After Suspicious Package Found at Bryn Mawr Hebrew School

A "bag of bullets" was reportedly found in a common area of the school

A Hebrew school in the Bryn Mawr section of Radnor Township was evacuated Wednesday after a suspicious package was found, Radnor Police said.

“Officers located various items that were suspicious in nature,” at Jack Barrack Hebrew Academy on Bryn Mawr Avenue, Radnor Police said.

A “bag of bullets” was found in a common area of the school just before noon, 6ABC said.

News helicopters could be seen and heard over Bryn Mawr Avenue on Wednesday. Under the direction of school leadership, more than 200 students were safely escorted from the main school, police said.

Radnor Police and K9 units searched the school, but found no issues, police said. The school was returned to “normal status” at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Radnor Detectives continue to investigate the incident, police said.
