Rose Glen Road To Open In September

Construction is set to begin next month and the road should be open by the fall, Lower Merion Commissioner Jenny Brown said Tuesday.

Rose Glen Road, which has been closed for months, is expected to be open by September, Lower Merion Township Commissioner Jenny Brown said at the Glawdwyne Civic Association meeting Tuesday.

According to earlier Patch reports,

The design and construction of the road have been delayed because of floodplain issues, Brown said. Although the commissioner had discussed the possibility of opening up one lane of the road prior to completion of the project, police officials said it was not safe enough to do so.

Main Line Media News reported that the nearly $250,000 project was approved by the township commissioners earlier this month.

Road repairs are slated to start next month and expected to be finished by September.
