The Liberty Block Party at the Shops at Liberty Place

The largest block party of the summer will officially kick off the week-long Wawa Welcome America! activities leading up to the star-studded Philly 4th of July Jam. The City of Philadelphia will close down the streets to host Liberty Block Party at the Shops at Liberty Place on Saturday, June 28, for a party that will go strong from noon through the evening until 10PM
Philly residents and visitors alike will nosh on samplings from the city’s top local restaurants, food trucks and dessert companies, while shopping unique craft and fashion vendors, as well as the retailers at the Shops at Liberty. Live entertainment and performances by top DJ’s and artists will keep the party going all day and night, including a performance by NBC’s The Voice Season 5 contestant Matthew Schuler. R&B group New Edition will be on hand as well to be honored by Mayor Michael A. Nutter on behalf of the City of Philadelphia and see the tribute performance that Charlie Mack has organized for them, featuring local youth performing New Edition's biggest hits.
