The Secret Language of Flowers

From
ancient times flowers have been symbolic, used for all types of ceremonies and
events. It was the Victorians who turned flower giving into an art with it’s

own language. Tussie Mussies were created to communicate feelings which were

not proper at that time to state in words.   The choice of flowers were just as important was how
they were presented.  Come spend an
evening with Cheryl Wilks, of “Flowers On Location” learning about the “Language of Flowers.”

You’ll be amazed at how easy it is to “Say it with flowers.”  Maybe you’ll be the lucky one to take a
posie home.

Cheryl Wilks
has been actively involved in the floral industry since 1980. She created
"Flowers On Location" in 1994, specializing in recreational floral

education for ALL ages & abilities (4 - 104). In addition to designing

beautiful weddings and parties, Cheryl brings hundreds of emotionally uplifting

floral workshops and demonstrations each year to garden clubs, womens groups,

corporate lunch & learns/team building, senior centers, nursing homes,

retirement communities, childrens after-school/summer camps, spousal/kid

programs for conventions and more! "Flower arranging is a wonderful

activity that nurtures self-expression and self-esteem," Cheryl explains.

"Flowers are the food for our soul."
