Turnpike Toll Hike to Kick In Jan. 1

A 10 percent increase for all cash customers will go into effect.

According to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, Pennsylvania Turnpike fares on most of the state’s toll roads starting New Year's Day.

The increase does not apply to E-ZPass users.

Under the new rate, a drive from Valley Forge to Pittsburgh will trigger a toll of $23.90

The increase will apply to all vehicle classes traveling on all sections of the Turnpike except for Turnpike 576 in Allegheny and Washington counties.
