Find out using this map (echo-pilot.com) — State officials have mapped 65 planned data centers, including one in Cumberland County being developed by Carlisle Development Partners in Middlesex Township, just northeast of Carlisle borough. Residents can use the new DEP "Data Center Permit Tracker" to see potential environmental impacts, while recent county and state rules aim to guide how these large facilities are built and powered near local communities.
   

2. Statement from the National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition on the Repatriation of Twelve Carlisle Indian Industrial School Students (nativenewsonline.net) — The U.S. Army is beginning the repatriation of 12 Native American students buried at the Carlisle Barracks Post Cemetery after dying at the Carlisle Indian Industrial School between 1879 and 1918. National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition leaders say the returns, which follow 58 earlier repatriations, highlight Carlisle's central role in this painful history and call for continued transparency and respect.

New video shows deadly collision between plane and Pennsylvania State Police helicopter (wbal.com) — Newly released videos show the August 19 collision between a small plane and a Pennsylvania State Police helicopter at Carlisle Airport, which killed the plane's pilot and injured two troopers. The footage, taken from different angles on the airfield, captures the moments leading up to impact as Carlisle—about 25 miles west of Harrisburg—continues to grapple with the tragedy.
   

4. Corvettes At Carlisle 2026 Sets New Record With 3,239 Corvettes (lsxmag.com) — Corvettes at Carlisle just wrapped up in town with a record 3,239 registered Corvettes filling the Carlisle Fairgrounds and downtown parade route. The multi-day gathering featured rare Grand Sports, technical sessions, competitions, and a Saturday night parade through downtown Carlisle, while also raising more than $35,000 for the Chip Miller Amyloidosis Foundation.
